Fashion Unit

Horst Diekgerdes:  This photographer uses light and darkness to show the contrast of photos and life. The pictures often have fairytale-like themes. I like this person simply because their work intertests me.

Sebastian Kim: This photographer shows models and celebrities in mysterious fashions. I like him because his work is very colorful and has many different types of people pot rayed in them.

Alice Hawkins: This photographer takes odd photos including a lot of color. I like them because they focus on the clothes and makeup, but they still make you question the point of the picture.

TIPS FOR FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY:
1. Photograph your model in a confident body position.
2. Use a prop to tell a story
3. experiment with different angles
4. Use a good model
5. experiment with different lighting
6. Show all the positive aspects of the product you're advertising
7. Coordinate your hair/makeup with the product
8. Break the rules
9. Plan the location
10.make sure everything compliments each other (setting, model, outfit, ect)

1. Photograph your model in a confident body position. Both models are in confident poses with fierce faces.

2. Use a prop to tell a story. Theses photos are mysterious and both use props (butterflies and squid)

3. experiment with different angles. One is from the side and the other from the back.

4. Use a good model. Both of these models are confident and beautiful.

5. experiment with different lighting. One uses a lot of light in the front and the other is black and white.

6. Show all the positive aspects of the product you're advertising. both show the clothes in many different circumstances.

7. Coordinate your hair/makeup with the product. Both match, or even contrast.

8. Break the rules. These models are just goofy...or there i only feet... but it is still a good picture.

9. Plan the location. These have interesting locations.

10.make sure everything compliments each other (setting, model, outfit, act). Everything matches.
