Lichtenstein (Pop Art part 2)

5 facts about Roy Lichtenstein:
1. He was born on October 27, 1923.
2. He was married twice.
3. As a child, he was interested in science and comic books.
4. He worked at Rutgers University.
5. At first, he didn't focus on his emotions when painting. His work was mostly based on comic books.

Examples of his works:

"Ben- Day Dots" were used to print things. In order to achieve their desired effect, an individual would have to consider spacing and color. Although it was invented by Benjamin Henry Day Jr., Roy Lichtenstein made the technique famous, as he used it in many of his works.

How Lichtenstein Differs from Warhol
Lichtenstein focused on comic book characters and modernizing his work, while Warhol enjoyed painting and drawing celebrities. Also, Lichtenstein was "inspired" by other artists in such a way that some argue he should not receive credit for some of his own work. Warhol, however, was an honest man in his work and everything he created was completely original.
